The Force is here! This is how people have fun in Gdańsk

Record-breaking attendance at PGE ARENA

36,500 spectators celebrating the victory of hosts over the Champion of Poland plus a Mercedes and Harley motorcycles in the VIP zone and plenty of live music: the Saturday Lechia Gdańsk – Legia Warszawa match was truly a great time.

- “This is how people have fun!” – the football fans were singing while cheering on their teams. The Saturday 11th of April league match saw a record-breaking attendance at PGE ARENA. 36,500 spectators came to watch the meeting, i.e. by 2,000 more than the stadium’s previous record. The atmosphere was hot: the fans performed an impressive white-and-green card stunt to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Gdańsk club. During the half-time break, the Red Heels violin trio – finalists of the Poland’s Got Talent show – presented their performance. The winning goal scored by Maciej Makuszewski in the 86th minute of the game made the Lechia fan’s day.

Lechia Gdańsk Prestige Club VIP zone – the space offered to the VIP boxes and executive section tenants – enjoyed a very good attendance too. The Saturday match Gold Tickets sold out a week before Easter. Nearly 85% of the PGE ARENA boxes are leased on a regular basis. None of the other, vacant boxes remained unsold last Saturday. The game attracted a large number of the corporate world representatives, not only from Pomerania.

The VIP zone audience could admire the new CLA Shooting Brake Mercedes, an acclaimed design icon already. The show in Gdańsk took place just a week after the World Premiere in Geneva. In addition, two models of the legendary Harley Davidson were shown in the box zone. Test drive arrangements were made right there.

The music stage of Lechia Gdańsk Prestige Club hosted Funkloopy – a funky group from Tri-City. The group consisting of nine musicians has released a record titled “Radiofrendli” and is currently working on a new project. The band leader established an excellent interaction and an animated dialogue with the audience.

The next match in Gdańsk will be held this very month, on Sunday the 26th of April. Lechia Gdańsk will be hosting the Górnik Łęczno team. As the Gdańsk club promised, free tickets will be offered to all those fans who were present at PGE ARENA to watch the game with Legia.
