Music all around the match at PGE ARENA 21.02.2015
Football fans singing is not the only musical element of the match :)
The weather was the only factor that failed. Lechia Gdańsk players defeated Górnik Zabrze smashingly 1 to 0 in the 25th round of Ekstraklasa league match. In addition, the fans watching the Saturday match from the VIP zone could enjoy three concerts: before the game, in the half-time break and after Lechia’s victory.
A cajon, a djembe, bongos, maracas, a tambourine and ... a suitcase – such instruments, exotic and uncommon, could be heard at the PGE ATOM Club on Saturday. An artistic duo of Jacek Pelc and Michał Cieśluk - a drummer and a violinist – both full of temperament and demonstrating musical versatility – opened the football night in the VIP zone.
- “A combination of live music, good food, comfortable surroundings and a sports event such as a match played by our Gdańsk team is a great way to spend a Saturday night,” says Lesław Januszewski, AGO press officer.“We work with excellent artists and have already planned more attractions – not only musical – to entertain our guests in the most interesting way. For holders of PGE ARENA VIP boxes and business class seats, the time spent at the stadium is an opportunity to meet interesting people and establish new contacts,” he adds.
There are 40 business boxes at PGE ARENA VIP Zone, most of them held on a permanent basis. In addition, almost 1400 business class places are offered in a separate sector of the grandstand, with an excellent view and access to the PGE ATOM Club restaurant. Among the artists performing here last Sunday, was the Jacek Kulesza Trio Suitcase & Tambourine. Jacek Kulesza plays many concerts both in Poland and abroad. He performed together with such artists as Manu Chao, Maciej Maleńczuk and Stanisław Sojka.
Furthermore, a collection of posters was exhibited at PGE ATOM Club, presenting trends in the sports poster design. The exhibition was arranged by the Lechia Gdańsk Museum, which is situated within the PGE ARENA premises.
